Sunshine, warmth, buds on the trees, still light when I get home after work. I love spring.

So do I, mate.
Accept, that is, for the bloody cedar, alder, and birch trees that all release their pollen at the first sign of a short skirt on a girl. I can well understand what they’re on about, but since their pollen makes me all clogged in the head, I’m miserable at the moment.
My only consolation is the sunshine, and the warmth, oh, and the flowers, the birds, the light, the ladies in their singlets, etc.
Yeah, tree spunk sucks. But more than compensating for it is the sudden emergence, as if by magic, of legions of lovely young things, even in Streatham!
Huh? Didn’t see any of that in Newcastle on the very same day. Wind, cold, rain. Hmpfffff.
W.
what on earth were you doing in Newcastle, Wim?
you never mentioned the legions of young lovelies, Rik…
very informal…
