Yellow Arrow

Yellow Arrow looks potentially interesting/neat-o. Apparently, :

"…it creates an open and interactive forum for people to leave and discover messages on location that point out what counts."

Participants can leave yellow arrow stickers at sites where something memorable or otherwise interesting occurred. When people discover the stickers, they send an SMS to the number on the sticker, and get a text message back to their phone relating what happened here. Marvellous in its simplicity. It reminds me of the Murmur project in Toronto, which does something very similar, except the stories in this case are real voices, and the markers are neat little metal ear signs.

This mapping of information onto the ‘real’ world is really fascinating and I will be doing some ‘research’ in this area myself, aided by my trusty skates, an assortment of marker pens, and a blog. More on that soon…
